HE'S GOT JAZZ!
Dan Lamaestra has been making music for audiences in the US and abroad since 1994. A native of Argentina, he counts Tango and other forms of latin music among his favorite styles, and performs on piano as his main instrument. Equally skilled on guitar, bass, and voice, Dan enjoys bringing a variety of influences to his unique renditions of classics, and his original works. Currently the pianist in the US NavyBand Commodores Jazz Ensemble based in Washington DC, he has played for the highest level dignitaries in the US and from many other countries, and has very much enjoyed accompanying major jazz artists with the NavyBand, including Jane Monheit, Branford Marsalis, Bob Mintzer, James Moody, James Taylor, Jason Mraz, Colbie Calliet, and American Idol winner Phillip Phillips. He has been featured on over 30 albums since 1995, and splits his performance time between DC and New York. A new album of original arrangements and pieces for jazz trio, and collection of videos, has been completed as of Sept 2015, and will be available in it's entirety by December 2015.
